Detroit, MI Grade 8th/9th NUC Schuman's Outstanding Performance List

Matthew Krause

Lake Orion, MI, RB, 5-10 175, Overall MVP

Our Overall MVP from Lake Orion HS ran respectable 4.72 and a 4.45 shuttle. His vertical was also very impressive at 29.5 inches. But what really stood out was his 26 reps of 135-pounds. He was fluid in the hips and dominated the one-on-ones.

Joshua Leiter

Portage Northern, MI, RB, 5-8-1/2, 177, RB MVP and Fastest Man.

Leiter ran a blistering 4.6 flat 40 with an amazing 33.5-inch vertical. He also showed good explosion and strength with a 9-1 BJ and 27 reps at 135-pounds. When he hit the hole he was gone!!!!

Dontez Blackshear

Loyola HS, MI, QB, 5-10-1/2, 165, QB MVP Award

Blackshear is not only a solid signal caller mechanically he is fairly athletic shuttling a 4.31 and jumping 30-inches in the vertical. Loyola HS in Detroit is really starting to produce quarterbacks!!!!!!

Donnie Corley

Davidson Middle School, MI, WR, 5-11-1/2, 144, 8th Grade Overall MVP.

This receiver already has good height and proved to have the innate ability to adjust to the ball in the air. Corley already shows explosion with a 27-inch vertical.

Austin Ballard

De La Salle, MI, WR, 6-0-1/2, 182, WR MVP

Ballard used his size and strength to create space off the line of scrimmage. He then used his soft hands to catch the ball away from his body. Nice hops also with a 26-inch vertical.

Joshuwa Holloman

Avondale HS, MI, RB, 5-10-1/2, 170, Combine King

Running back was the deepest group at the camp but Holloman still stood out amongst his peers. He ran a 4.64 40 and a 4.45 shuttle. But his explosion was even more amazing with a 31-inch vertical and 9-6 BJ.

Darryl Clemons

Loyola HS, MI, LB, 6-1-1/2, 186, LB MVP

Wow, this kid already looks the part with great size and muscular structure. He was able to turn his hips and run while also manhandling backs at the line of scrimmage. Impressive 27-inch vertical.

Michael Williams

Edsel Ford HS, MI, CB, 6-0, 154, DB MVP

What can you say? This kid has that coveted size for a corner. He did a nice job steering receivers off their intended routes. Also had an impressive 28.5-inch vertical.

Dezmond Fitzpatrick

West Middle School, MI, WR, 5-8, 138, Leadership Award

You have to love seeing young athletes take a positive vocal role in helping others succeed. Fitzpatrick was also one of the top performers in the 8th grade group.

Courteous Jerome Preston

Farmington HS, MI, DL, 6-1, 207, Strongest Man

Mr. Preston has good size and strength. He benched 155-pounds 16 times while also jumping 23 -inches in the vertical. Farmington HS is really starting to produce players to rival their fiercest competitor Harrison HS.
